Amina started Layn from her home in Bahrain in 2021, sketching between a full-time job and a growing list of friends who wanted the dress she was wearing.
Her references are close to home: her mother’s Eid jalabiyas, the striped fabrics of the old souq, the way light moves through a majlis at sunset.
She still fits every sample herself, and still writes the tag on every box.
